New Truck Dealers Enjoy Resurgence of Business

Just when you thought all was lost, August proved to be a month in which new truck dealers made a comeback. With falling gas prices, great incentives and people getting accustomed to paying more per gallon, consumers are going back to their favorite new truck dealers to get a great deal on full-size trucks.

The comeback was so great, in fact, that the Chevrolet Silverado was the best-selling vehicle in the entire country for the month of August. Sales for this full-size pickup truck were up nearly 70 percent over the July sales figures. The sales figures for the Sierra truck also increased by about 75 percent in August. Those are impressive numbers considering the fact that hybrids have been taking over the market recently.

Of course, it’s going to be difficult for new truck dealers to attain the popularity they once had. The fear of $4 for a gallon of gas is still in the minds of many consumers. We’ve seen what can happen at the pumps. However, people are always going to want trucks regardless of the cost of gas. And with the improvements the automakers are making on fuel efficiency and in other areas, trucks will continue to be on the roads.

Why not join the crowd and visit your local GMC dealer today and get the truck you’ve always wanted?

Rollercoaster Ride Is Normal for 100 Years of GM Sales

Any company that has been in business for a whole century knows that sales go up and down over the years. GM sales are no exception.

Roger Ezell, a factory worker at General Motors for more than 40 years, has seen the automaker go through it all. He witnessed the gas crisis in the late 70s, several recessions and other GM sales slumps during his time with the company. “We’ve seen them down further than what they are, and they got back up,” he said in an interview with the Associated Press. “I believe in GM. There’s no doubt in my mind,” he went on to explain.

Even so, GM sales are less than ideal in the North American market. Luckily, the manufacturing giant sells millions of vehicles in overseas markets. In fact, GM has sold about a 500 million vehicles worldwide in recent years, including more than 14 million Chevrolet Impalas, 12 million Oldsmobile Cutlasses, more than 6 million Chevrolet Cavaliers and nearly 5 million Chevrolet Camaros.

GMC’s New Truck Dealers Receiving Hybrid Escalade

New truck dealers have recently received the 2009 GMC Escalade hybrid for sale to customers. Many consumers and new truck dealers are excited about the new arrival as this is a “sibling” of the Chevy Tahoe, a hybrid SUV that won a Green Car award. But the new Escalade hybrid is a bit different because it is the first luxury hybrid SUV on the domestic market.

The 2009 GMC Escalade hybrid offers 50 percent better gas mileage than comparable hybrids. In the city, it gets about 20 miles to the gallon. On the highways, it gets about 21.

One of the best parts about it is that it only costs about $3,500 more than its non-hybrid counterpart. For those car buyers worried about paying way too much for a hybrid version of their favorite vehicles, this price difference means it won’t take too long before the hybrid technology pays for itself.

You should be able to find the 2009 Escalade hybrid at your local GMC dealer since delivery began taking place last month. Check one out today and see how much you can start saving at the gas pump!

2009 Pontiac Vibe Could Fuel GM Sales

With the recent lineup of new vehicles, GM sales should increase as consumers strive to get the latest features and amenities that only the General can offer. The 2009 Pontiac Vibe is in that lineup and, based on the reviews it’s getting, it should be a major player in the GM sales market.

The 2009 Pontiac Vibe has a similar appearance to the station wagon your aunt and uncle drove a couple decades ago. However, the Vibe is much sportier, sleeker and impressive than the station wagon. As a bonus, you’d be hard-pressed to find a 2009 Vibe with the faux wood paneling going around the perimeter of the vehicle.

Its wagon-like features, however, make it roomier on the inside. You can bring up to five people with you as well as some cargo and groceries without sacrificing comfort. The 2009 model also retains many of the same features that everybody loved about previous models, including the length and the wheelbase.

One of the more pleasurable changes include the unibody style of the 2009 Pontiac Vibe. With strategic reinforcements and other improvements, the Vibe provides a smoother and quieter ride than its predecessor.

You can bet we’ll be covering more about the 2009 Pontiac Vibe in the weeks to come. Instead of just reading about it, though, why not visit your local GMC dealer and get behind the wheel of one yourself?

Republicans Lean Toward GMC 2008 Trucks and Cars

McCain/GMC 2008 doesn’t sound like a catchy ticket, but there are correlations between the two. Every time there’s a major election, researchers find a number of correlations between the people who identify with either party and their consumer habits. This year is no different.

A new study shows that the majority of people in “red states” are more likely to buy a GMC 2008 truck or car than the people in the “blue states.” But there are a few other correlations that are typical of red state residents. For instance, you might think that the blue states have a corner on the eco-friendly market. However, according to a recent article, there are no major differences when it comes to being “green.” In fact, California, which is considered a “blue state environmentalist haven” – only scored 85 out of 100 on a test that rated each state’s environmental consciousness.

One thing that everybody can agree on, though, is that the new GMC 2008 models have made great strides in becoming more eco-friendly through more efficient engines, hybrid technologies and other features. That’s why you can visit your local GMC dealer today and get the car that you want without the stigma of being an “evil anti-environmentalist.”

Four Factors Help Increase Sales for New Truck Dealers

New truck dealers are starting to recover from the slumping sales resulting from recent high gas prices. In August, the sales for GM SUVs and trucks actually increased more than the automaker’s car sales. But gas prices aren’t the only things affecting the overall auto sales at your GMC new truck dealers.

More Fuel-Efficient Options
GM is one of the leading automakers working on more efficient options in both cars and trucks. If you visit your local GMC dealer, you’ll notice hybrid versions of some of the most popular SUVs and even some hybrid cars.

Huge Discounts
GMC is offering huge discounts on SUVs and other popular models to fuel auto sales. With the end of the year approaching and new models hitting the lots, you can get a great deal on 2008 models.

Trade-Ins
People are trading in their cars these days before they get too many miles on them. As a result, there are more used cars on the lot waiting for buyers to buy them.

Increased Consumer Confidence
With the economy stabilizing and increased quality of today’s cars, people are more likely to invest in cars. People have more confidence in the economy and the cars that they buy.

Lower Gas Prices Increase GM Sales of SUVs

After a few rough months of falling GM sales of trucks and SUVs, the automaker is now enjoying a period of rising sales.

For the first time in four months, GM sales of SUVs and trucks have outnumbered cars. One dealer had this to say about his sales in August: “We sold almost two trucks and SUVs for every one car last month. That was a definite swing from May, June and July when we sold 100 cars versus 75 trucks and SUVs.” He went on to say that those trends also continued for September so far.

Many dealers are expecting more GM sales of trucks and SUVs if the gas prices continue to fall or stay where they are right now. The current prices, on average, are about 40 cents less than they were in mid-July. In addition to lower gas prices, consumers are simply getting used to the idea of paying more for fuel and they are considering that when they create their budget. Now that the initial shock has worn off, many of them are returning to the trucks and SUVs that they love so much.

Were you one of the ones that “fell away” from larger vehicles because of the gas prices? If so, your local GMC dealer is ready to welcome you back. Visit one today and get the vehicle of your choice.

GMC 2008 Hybrids Could Save Owners Thousands

When you purchase a GMC 2008 hybrid this year, you could be saving thousands over the life of your auto loan, according to a report in the new issue of Consumer Reports.

Over the course of five years, drivers can save as little as $500 and as much as $4,250 with certain hybrid models instead of gasoline-powered automobiles. The study involved a dozen hybrids. Out of those 12, GMC 2008 hybrid models held three of the top spots for money-saving qualities. Those were the 2008 Saturn Vue, Chevrolet Malibu and the GMC 2008 Tahoe. Even when tax credits aren’t factored into the savings, consumers can save as much as $4,200.

According to the study, fuel costs only account for about 25 percent of the savings. A consumer that invests in a GMC 2008 hybrid also saves money through depreciation, sales tax, maintenance and repairs. The estimates used for the study include an average of 12,000 miles per year and $4 gallons of gas.

“Most of they hybrids tested by CR have done really well,” according to Rik Paul, the automotive editor for the publication, “buy hybrids have higher initial upfront costs.”

MP3 Players Music to the Ears on Lots of GM’s New Truck Dealers

You might notice a new feature on some of the new 2009 GM models at your local new truck dealers. The prominent automaker announced late last month that many new truck dealers will have models in which customers can choose to have an in-dash USB port for their iPod or MP3 player.

That’s an exciting announcement considering the fact that radio stations are starting to suffer at the hands of these personal music players. People can load up their favorite songs, skip through them and even repeat them at the click of the thumb. Who needs a radio when you can do all that?

The new optional radios for the 2009 lineup will be made available sometime around the middle part of the model year. GM new truck dealers already have many vehicles with a similar hookup, but this new one is different in that the USB port allows the MP3 player to recharge as it’s playing.

Drivers will also appreciate how easy these MP3 players are. A simple glance at the radio display and one can see the information of the song currently playing. By simply turning the knob, the driver can search through the other available songs with the name and artist showing up on the display. This isn’t only convenient, but it’s also safe because it reduces the amount of searching for the driver.

This sounds like a great feature to me! Why not visit your local GMC dealer today and se e if you can get one of these features with a 2009 models? It’s definitely worth the trip!
